Reincarnation of Geshe Tsultim Gyeltsen

Geshe Gyeltsen ReincarnationIt is with great joy that we at GSTDL share with you the very happy news that His Holiness the Dalai Lama has recognized the reincarnation of our Geshe'la (Geshe Tsultim Gyeltsen). The reincarnate, Tenzin Thardoe who is now two years and one month old, is son of Tsering Phuntsok (father) and Tenzin Khechog (mother) and he was born and lives in Camp 2 in Mundgod, Southern India, very close to the Gaden Shartse Monastery.

The first offering of the robes ceremony took place in India August, 2013. Please pray for the good health of this reincarnate for the great success in his education.

Ven. Geshe Tsultim Gyeltsen was the founder of Thubten Dhargye Ling. He was an authentic and trusted spiritual guide to the many students who came to him for teachings and advice. He passed away February 13, 2009. His students and friends are encouraged to make prayers for his swift return. Geshe'la was a tireless Teacher, Guide, and Activist. At his passing, he demonstrated the signs of being a highly accomplished Buddhist master. Thubten Dhargye Ling, a Dharma center located in Long Beach, California, is dedicated to the study of Tibetan Buddhism. Founded in 1978 by the late Ven. Geshe Tsultim Gyeltsen, it has been a source of authentic Dharma instruction rooted in the Gelugpa lineage from Gaden Shartse Monastery and Nagarjuna, Asanga, Atisha, Lama Tsong Khapa, and the Dalai Lamas.

Our center has hosted such renowned teachers as H.E. Kyabje Lati Rinpoche and Kyabje Zong Rinpoche and has on several occasions sponsored appearences and teachings by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in the greater Los Angeles.
