Lati Tulku Tenzin Jangchup Choepel is 12 years old and is immersed in his studies and life at Gaden Shartse Monastery in south India. Rinpoche is in good health and growing very quickly.

Rinpoche has already memorized Lord Maitreya’s “Ornament of Clear Realization” and the great Chandrakirti’s “Introduction to the Middle Way” root texts, and is currently memorizing the “Fulfilling and Mending” supplication prayers of the Five Dharma Protectors. Along with daily memorization, Rinpoche is studying basic Buddhist philosophical debate, takes Tibetan grammar lessons, continues to practice his handwriting. Rinpoche also makes time to learn speaking, reading, and writing in multiple languages including English and Mandarin.

Rinpoche exudes a calm and confident demeanor and all are left humbled in their interactions with him. He is compassionate to all those around him, and makes sure no one is forgotten.

We sincerely pray for Lati Tulku Tenzin Jangchup Choepel’s good health and long life, the completion and success of his studies, and the fulfillment of his wishes and prayers. May Rinpoche continue to guide us on the path of the Dharma and may we never be far from his blessings.
