A brief birthday greeting from Lati Tulku on his 14th birthday!

On this special day, we offer our heartfeld wishes to Rinpoche! May his birthday be filled with peace, joy, and continued wisdom. May his path in learning and compassion bring light to others, and may he always be surrounded by kindness and harmony!

Lati Tulku Tenzin Jangchup Choepel is now 14 years old and is immersed in his studies and daily activities at Gaden Shartse Monastery in south India. Rinpoche is in good health and grown very quickly these last few years.

Rinpoche has already memorized many root texts and ritual prayers including Lord Maitreya’s “Ornament of Clear Realization,” the great Chandrakirti’s “Introduction to the Middle Way,” and supplication prayers of the Five Dharma Protectors. Rinpoche has now officially started his Buddhist philosophical debate studies and is now attending formal classes and morning and evening sessions at Gaden Shartse Monastery's debate courtyard. Rinpoche continues to receive Tibetan grammar lessons and practice Tibetan calligraphy. Rinpoche also makes time to learn speaking, reading, and writing in multiple languages including English and Mandarin.

Rinpoche exudes a kind and calm demeanor and is open and patient in all his interactions. He is compassionate to all those around him and always thinks about others.  

We sincerely pray for Lati Tulku Tenzin Jangchup Choepel’s good health and long life, the completion and success of his studies, and the fulfillment of his wishes and aspirations. May Rinpoche continue to guide us on the path of the Dharma and may we never be far from his blessings.
