GSTDL welcomes the arrival of the new Managing Director, Geshe Lobsang Jampa, and the newly appointed Assistant Manager, Geshe Kunchok Woser. Both Geshe Lobsang and Geshe Woser will replace Gen Lungrik Gyaltsen, who has been managing the center since 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown began. Gen Lungrik has been working with both the Director and Assistant Director over the past couple of months, training them in all the duties of the center. In his announcement during a Sunday teaching, Gen-la expressed his gratitude to the board, staff, and students who assisted him with all the center's activities. He plans to return to Gaden Shartse Monastery this September.

Both Geshe Jampa and Geshe Woser look forward to working with the board, staff, and students. Currently, they are collaborating with the board on the planning of H.E. Zong Rinpoche's visit in October. This is especially significant as Geshe Jampa comes from Rinpoche's own labrang.
